Personalize your piece with custom engraving.

How to Order

1. Add the Engraving Service to your order and select the option that best matches your request: initials, a date, or a name up to 8 characters; a phrase; or fingerprint engraving.
2. Use the personalization text field to enter your desired text and placement.
3. For more detailed instructions or a project that doesn’t fit the available options, email barb@petersonmade.com.

Each request is customized. We’ll confirm any changes or additional fees once we’ve reviewed the details of your engraving.

Fingerprint Engraving

Please email your digital fingerprint file before purchasing so we can confirm that it’s suitable for engraving. Accepted formats: JPEG, JPG, PDF, and PNG.

If you need to obtain a fingerprint:

• Ask the funeral home whether it has a digital fingerprint available to share with the family.
• You can also use an ink pad and clean white paper. Press your finger onto the ink pad, then make approximately three impressions on the paper from that single application of ink. Scan the impressions and email them to us for review. Prints that are too dark or too light may not be usable.

Quote & Design Approval

We’ll contact you within 3 days of receiving your order to confirm your request and finalize your quote. This is the quote-confirmation timeframe, not the engraving completion time. Please check your spam or junk folder for our reply.

Any additional charges will be confirmed with you, and a separate invoice will be sent for payment.

Before engraving your final piece, we’ll provide a mock-up of your text or fingerprint for approval. The mock-up is not to scale; it is provided to approve spelling, font, and characters.
